Do you need to meet the Tax Practitioner Board’s (TPB) requirements for commercial law or want to provide a tax agent service for a fee? Aimed at upskillers, this tertiary microcredential will provide you with a broad overview of commercial law. You will benefit from acquiring knowledge of Australia's common law and civil law systems in your professional field. Bucking recent trends in education, classes are conducted in a stimulating face-to-face environment. The course is structured so that students can take one subject per semester.
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Embed ethical law processes into your work
Grasp commercial law, specifically the Australian common law and civil law systems
Explore advanced commercial law, including the principles of torts and property laws
Understand corporations and trust law, as well as the role of regulatory bodies
Develop specialist skills to gain an advantage in the job market
Initial step to maintaining or renewing accreditation with the Tax Practitioners Board if you are wanting to provide a tax agent service for a fee
Invaluable knowledge of commercial law for application across a range of industries from accountancy to risk management
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.
