    Community Guidelines

    Age Limit

    Most social media platforms require users to be at least 13 years old to create an account. If users under this age are identified, they may be restricted or reported in line with platform policies.

    Comments and Community Interaction

    We encourage open discussions but do not endorse user comments on our pages. To ensure a respectful space, we reserve the right to remove comments or block users if content:

    • Contains hate speech, discrimination, threats, harassment, or violent content
    • Promotes illegal activity, false information, or conspiracy theories
    • Is off-topic, misleading, mocking or spam
    • Includes personal attacks, trolling, or defamation
    • Advertises commercial, political, or personal interests

    All comments remain public, including names and profile images.

    Moderation Hours

    TAFE NSW monitors social media channels Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm (AEST), excluding public holidays. Comments outside these hours will be reviewed as soon as possible.. Comments outside these hours will be reviewed the next business day.

    TAFE NSW follows Facebook’s Community Standards, which promote safety, integrity, and respect. On our Facebook pages and groups, we:

    • Encourage constructive discussions related to education, training, and student success.
    • Expect users to remain respectful towards staff, students, and other participants.
    • Do not tolerate hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or threats.
    • Remove spam, misleading content, or unauthorised promotions.
    • Restrict fake accounts and misinformation related to TAFE NSW, education, or public safety.

    Instagram Community Guidelines – TAFE NSW

    TAFE NSW aligns with Instagram’s Community Guidelines to maintain a supportive and engaging space. Users must:

    • Share only appropriate, relevant, and respectful content.
    • Ensure all photos/videos of students comply with TAFE NSW permission to publish policies.
    • Respect intellectual property rights—only post content you own or have permission to share.
    • Avoid offensive language, bullying, or harassment in comments or direct messages.
    • Do not share false or misleading information about TAFE NSW.
    • Avoid tagging students without explicit permission from them and their guardian if under 18.

    LinkedIn Professional Community Policies – TAFE NSW

    LinkedIn’s Professional Community Policies support educational and professional conversations. On our LinkedIn page, we expect:

    • Discussions to remain professional, educational, and relevant to TAFE NSW’s courses, industry connections, and alumni success.
    • Users to engage respectfully with staff, students, and industry partners.

    YouTube Community Guidelines – TAFE NSW

    TAFE NSW follows YouTube’s Community Guidelines to maintain an informative and safe video platform. When interacting on our YouTube channel:

    • Comments should be constructive and relevant to our educational content.
    • Videos must respect intellectual property rights—only content created or approved by TAFE NSW will be shared.
    • Any engagement should support a positive learning environment.
    • No hate speech, bullying, or harassment in comments.
    • No spam, misleading claims, or false information about TAFE NSW.
    • No promotion of external businesses or unrelated content in comments.

    X (Twitter) Community Guidelines – TAFE NSW

    TAFE NSW follows X (Twitter) Rules and Policies to maintain a respectful and informative space for students, staff, and the wider community. When engaging with our X (Twitter) account, users must:

    • Keep discussions relevant to education, training, and industry news.
    • Ensure comments are respectful and constructive.
    • Share factual information—misleading or false claims will be removed.
    • Use appropriate language—keep conversations professional and civil.

    We do not tolerate:
