Completion requirements
During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:
A general construction induction card (commonly known as a white card) – you will need this before you can enter a construction site
Note: To undertake all High Risk Work (HRW) assessments in this course, you will need to be at least 18 years old with 100 points of identification.

An intermediate level of fitness to manage the physical demands of the job
A commitment to your own safety and the safety of others
A commitment to working safely at heights
Good organisational skills, enjoy working in a team environment and can follow instructions
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

Licensing
Students will attain their licences to perform basic, intermediate and advanced rigging, and dogging during the course. As well as a valid general construction induction card, you will need a high-risk work licence if you want to operate a forklift truck or carry out dogging and rigging work in NSW. To be eligible to obtain a high-risk licence, you must be at least 18 years old and have 100 points of ID.

UnitsUnits taught in this course
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Rigging qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 19 Units of competency, including 12 core and 7 speciality units.
Please note, not all specialty units are offered at every TAFE NSW location. It is highly recommended that you check with your preferred campus for information about the specialty units offered at that location.
