Explore different styles of writing, point of view, tone, plot, theme, dialogue and characters
Draft a short memoir excerpt based on your own experiences
Edit to improve the quality, coherence and appeal of your writing
You'll leave this course with:
The ability to write and edit a 750-word piece based on your memories and experiences. Previous student examples have included family relationship conflict, dealing with dementia and life on a navy warship
A sound understanding of how to apply a range of creative writing techniques
Transferrable skills in planning, drafting and editing your own written material
Confidence in the quality and appeal of your writing
