Do you want to take an initial step to qualify as a tax agent through the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB)? Accredited by the TPB, this course is for upskillers who would like to specialise in Australian taxation. The Tax Law for Tax Agents and Tax (Financial) Advisers course explores current Australian tax law and legislation. It will also equip you with the skills to process different tax returns using industry-standard software.
Conducted face-to-face, this tertiary microcredential can be completed in just two semesters and can flexibly fit around busy life schedules.
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Process tax returns for individuals, businesses and corporations
Apply introductory tax law to your work, including relevant legislation
Embed ethical tax law processes into daily practice
Develop specialist skills to gain an advantage in the job market
An initial step to qualify to register as a tax agent through the Tax Practitioners Board (get assessed by TPB before applying for this course)
Skills to process tax returns for individuals, businesses and corporations
Access to TAFE NSW's industry connections and associated industry bodies
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.
