This course is for people who want to develop their skills in commercial and tax law and meet legal requirements to register as a tax (financial) advisor with the Tax Practitioner Board (TPB), which must be met alongside other TPB requirements.
This practical undergraduate certificate is made up of four essential subjects and provides credit towards a full qualification if you wish to continue your studies.

Recognition of prior learning for the Bachelor of Applied Commerce. The 4 subjects studied in the Undergraduate Certificate will be recognised and credited towards the Bachelor qualification, with a fee-deduction

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
A Certificate IV or higher qualification in accounting, financial services or business or
Two years of recent experience in accounting, financial services or business as evidenced by a letter from your employer
You must also Attend a pre-admission interview where you may also be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

In this course, you'll meet the legal requirements for Tax Practitioner Board (TPB) registration as a tax (financial) adviser. This is subject to meeting other TPB requirements. You'll also be eligible to apply for full membership to CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants ANZ (accounting major) or Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) (financial planning major).
