Shearing a real sheep was probably something these Japanese students never thought they'd ever do in their lifetimes.
But it just goes to show that unexpected and unlikely opportunities can present themselves at any time.
A small group of students from Minokamo in Japan are visiting Dubbo in a sister city arrangement and spent some time at TAFE Western's Dubbo College Rural Skills and Environmental Campus. Teacher Frank Roberts was happy to show the visitors how to remove a sheep's fleece.
The unidentified sheep at the centre of the activity didn't seem to understand what all the fuss was about and seemed annoyed that it had to pose mid-clip for this awkward photo.
