About Mitchell Bartram

This Scholarship has been established in memory of Mitchell Bartram, a former student who completed his first year of a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication at Tamworth Campus, before his life was tragically cut short at the age of 16. Mitchell was known for his hardworking, positive, and outgoing personality—always cheeky, quick to make everyone laugh, and light up the room. While his sense of humour kept people in stitches, his welding skills were precise and on point. Throughout his education, Mitchell was greatly supported by the generosity of teachers and staff at TAFE NSW, whose kindness left a lasting impact on him and his family.

The Mitchell Bartram Memorial Trust, founded by his family, honours his legacy by raising awareness of bullying and supporting individuals in the community facing hardship or loss. The Mitchell Bartram Memorial Scholarship continues to celebrate his memory by helping students pursue the same trade he was passionate about.
