    Nurture a healthy, youthful complexion in your clients. Practice client consultation and safely perform collagen induction therapy. Use professional equipment and strong infection control measures under the guidance of your teachers.

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Prepare treatment area and sanitise equipment

    • Confirm treatment plans

    • Cleanse skin and use skin antiseptic

    • Provide skin needling treatments, and follow protocol and procedures

    • Adjust settings during treatments to minimise client discomfort

    • Provide post-treatment care, products and advice

    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • Successful completion of the unit SHBBINF002 - Maintain infection control standards, as evidenced by your certificate or transcript, or

    • Successful completion of the unit HLTINF005 - Maintain infection prevention for skin penetration treatment, as evidenced by your certificate or transcript.

    • Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy as evidenced by your certificate or transcript. You may need to attend a gap assessment prior to enrolment. A teacher may contact you to discuss, or

    • Successful completion of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy as evidenced by your certificate or transcript. You may need to attend a gap assessment prior to enrolment. A teacher may contact you to discuss.

    Completion requirements

    During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:

    • To complete your assessments you will need to provide clients and/or models who are over 18 years of age to demonstrate your skin needling skills. During your course, your teacher will give you the relevant information and may provide assistance, if needed.
