Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
View acceptable proof of age before sale or service of alcohol
Provide accurate information to customers about alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
Monitor customer behaviours for signs of intoxication and take appropriate action, including refusing sale or service
Manage conflict effectively, including identifying threats to safety and getting assistance with handling threats
Follow responsible gambling service procedures, including refusing credit and responding to under-age gambling
Provide information and assistance to customers about how to minimise gambling harm and get counselling services or other help
Identify and remove food hazards and report unsafe hygiene practices and food contamination incidents
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.

If you would like to get the Liquor and Gaming NSW Competency Card from Service NSW, there is an additional cost. You'll make this payment for the card to TAFE NSW, then you'll have to visit Service NSW to obtain your card.
