Licensing
An Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) is required for workers who want to be employed in the avionics industry. You will need this to complete work as an apprentice. Upon graduation from this course, you will be eligible to apply for a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License through the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), which is required to work as a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME).

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Aeroskills (Avionics) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 32 Units of competency , including 8 core and 13 speciality units.
