Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

We're certainly getting in to the spirit here at TAFE NSW. There's lots and lots happening around our campuses this week so no need to sob into your Ben & Jerry's if you've no plans for the day - celebrate with us!

Whether you're a culinary enthusiast, a book lover or a creative soul, there's plenty to get involved in. Take a look at how some of our students are marking the occasion:

3D sculptured cake making

Our Australian Patisserie Academy which is ran out of our Northern Sydney Institute delivers short courses in patisserie, chocolate, sugar artistry, bakery, cake design and decorations.

Their mouth-watering creations are an Instagramer's dream (honestly check for yourself).

In prep for Valentine's Day, our APA team ran a "True Love, 3D sculptured love themed cakes" class at Ryde campus on Saturday. Talented Chef, Handi Mulyana, helped the cake decorating class create these stunning creations below.

Amazeballs!

If you're keen to craft one of these 3D bad boys yourself, there's another class running on  May 13th. Just in time for Mother's Day.

Hair and beauty

This intricate Valentine's up-style really wow'd us this year; our talented hair and beauty students are never short of creativity. TVET Cert III Makeup students with teacher Emma Court created this Valentines-inspired look at Mt Druitt College.

If you consider yourself to be an artistic person who sees hair, nails and skin as your canvas, one of TAFE's beauty courses might be for you. Check them out.

Library lovers' day

Cramming in the library this week? Fear not - you can still join in on the Valentine's Day celebrations. Our TAFE NSW team at Goulburn campus are celebrating Library Lovers' day, rewarding all our study-hard students with special treats - homemade heart biscuits, romance novels and stickers. Yep, it sure pays to be a bookworm!
