This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
Successful completion of the Certificate IV Cyber Security (22334VIC or 22603VIC) or equivalent in the last 5 years, as evidenced by a copy of your certificate or transcript, or
At least 2 years of recent cyber security industry experience, as evidenced by your resume

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Completed 22334VIC Certificate IV in Cyber Security or a relevant ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology
Possess equivalent skills such as prior cyber security work experience or
Strong digital literacy skills
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level

There are many career pathways and opportunities to choose from when you graduate from the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security). No formal licensing requirements exist for roles in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, but many employers in the industry require security, police and other checks prior to employment.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 units of competency, including 6 core and 10 speciality units.
Please note, not all specialty units are offered at every TAFE NSW location. It is highly recommended that you check with your preferred campus for information about the specialty units offered at that location.
