By 2020, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will provide aged or disabled care support to 460,000 Australians, by improving access to disability services, and driving growth in the disability services sector.

The time is right for you to make the move into a community services career, as over the next three years, more than 4,300 additional people are forecast to be employed as aged or disabled carers in NSW, a total increase of over 10%.

Spotlight on healthcare: 1.8 million employed by 2024

The NSW Government is committing $2.8 million to increase frontline health staff over the next four years, with 45% of the new positions to be located in regional NSW. An additional 5,000 nurses and midwives, 880 allied health staff and 1,360 hospital support staff will be recruited. The NSW Government will commit $45 million to boost palliative care services, which will include the roll out of digital health solutions.
