Academic Requirements:
- Year 12 or equivalent
English Language Requirements:
- Academic IELTS 6.0 (with no individual band less than 5.5) or equivalent

The level of support you need may be assessed via a review of your LLN skills with written tasks and a one-on-one interview. If you need to strengthen your LLN skills, an individual training plan will be created with you.
To be prepared for this course, it is recommended that you have:
- Closed-in protective footwear and clothing that is clean and professional for the industry
- Computer skills and are able to work on your laptop, iPad or smartphone that can connect to the internet
- Strong communication skills to consult with your clients and your team
- An openness to practising your skills on your peers and members of the public
- An openness to allowing your peers to practise their skills on you
- An ease about performing massage treatments on the head, feet, hands and body
- A willingness to follow strict hygiene rules and work, health and safety principles

Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.
Structure and unitsWhat you will study
At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.
Packaging Rules 29 units must be completed. 20 core units and 9 elective units, consisting of: 1 unit from Group A: Infection control all units from any one of Group B, C, or D: Group B: Electrolysis/Diathermy Group C: Relaxation Massage Group D: Spa Treatments remaining units from the list below, elsewhere in the SHB Training Package, or any other current training package or accredited course.
