Non-tuition fees and costs

    As a TAFE NSW student, you may need to pay for other costs associated with your study, such as accommodation, textbooks, equipment, printing and health cover. 

    Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

    Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is compulsory for international students studying in Australia. This insurance covers certain medical costs while you study in Australia, such as doctor or hospital visits. 

    Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) charges for one year are as follows:

    • single student - from $643 (AUD)
    • couple (student with spouse) - from $2,412 (AUD)
    • family (student with family) - from $3,847 (AUD)

    Check the annual charges with your OSHC provider.

    Application and registration fees

    Application and registration fees (non-refundable) are as follows:

    • TAFE NSW course/packages: $100 (AUD)

    • English language course/packages: $150 (AUD)

    Uniforms, equipment and textbooks

    You may need to purchase tools, textbooks and/or equipment. Please check your course requirements or refer to your teacher before starting your classes.
