    The Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design (Illustration) develops your illustration abilities and sets you up to leave your creative mark on the world. Build a high skill level in graphic design and gain a strong understanding of the discipline while specialising in illustration.

    Learn from experienced teaching staff as you develop your portfolio by working on design projects across a wide range of industries. Create design concepts for complex projects in collaborative teams and form a network of creative peers throughout the industry.

    This advanced diploma can help you prepare for roles such as an illustrator or designer, in several creative environments. It can also support you to become a freelancer and to start your own business.

    Additional costs

    Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.

    Structure and unitsWhat you will study

    At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.


    Packaging Rules Total number of units = 15 6 core units plus 9 elective units, of which: 6 must be from the electives listed below 3 may be from the remaining listed electives or any currently endorsed training package qualification or accredited course.     You may gain entry to another university using your TAFE NSW qualifications. Acceptance and the amount of credit transfer may vary depending on the university and course studies. Check your credit eligibility.
