    OverviewAbout this course

    The Certificate IV in Information Technology (Web Development) gives you the skills you need to become an integral part of the digital world.

    Throughout this course, you’ll develop a range of skills and knowledge to design, develop, build and administer websites using a range of website technologies.

    You'll learn skills that are transferable across a number of different industries, including using Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, concepts in web hosting, and social media technologies. You'll also learn Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and search reports using basic analytics (for example Google analytics) that are highly sought after in today's workplaces.

    Our graduates go on to launch careers as web developers or designers, technical writers or website support administrators.

    Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.

    Structure and unitsWhat you will study

    At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.


    7 core units plus 13 elective units, of which: At least 9 units must be selected from the elective units listed below up to 4 units may be selected from the remaining listed elective units or from this or any other currently endorsed training package qualification.
