    Studying real estate at TAFE NSW prepares you for a rewarding, hands-on career in the property industry.

    The Walkom Real Estate Encouragement Scholarship awards $500 to a student studying the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at TAFE NSW Newcastle, TAFE NSW Cessnock, TAFE NSW Maitland, or via TAFE Digital.

    Established in 2020 by Scott Walkom and the team at Walkom Real Estate, this scholarship provides financial support to one student every semester. It is open to eligible students living in the Newcastle Local Government Area (LGA) and surrounds.

    Who can apply?

    To apply for the Walkom Real Estate Encouragement Scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at TAFE NSW Newcastle, TAFE NSW Cessnock, TAFE NSW Maitland, or via TAFE Digital
    • live within the Newcastle Local Government Area (LGA) or surrounding areas
    • demonstrate commitment to your studies and career goals (e.g. by listing achievements, an action plan, or key skills)
    • demonstrate positive academic values to represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation (e.g. through grades, attendance, or character traits)
    • not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation in the 12 months prior to 20 March 2026.
